What is your main policy focus?

The Green Party’s main policy focus is on climate action and social justice. We are committed to transitioning Canada to a sustainable, green economy by investing in renewable energy, green infrastructure, and clean jobs, while ensuring affordable housing, universal pharmacare, and fair taxes to assist all Canadians. We want to build a thriving, just society that values people and the environment.

What debate topic are you looking forward to the most?

We are most looking forward to debating climate change and the economy/affordability. The urgency of the climate crisis requires bold action, and we want to challenge other parties on their commitment to ending fossil fuel subsidies, strengthening emissions targets, and investing in clean energy solutions. We also look forward to discussing how a green economy can create good jobs and long-term prosperity without harming the environment.

In your opinion, what is the most important issue that Canadians are currently facing?

The most pressing issue facing Canadians is affordability and the climate crisis. The cost of living is skyrocketing housing is unaffordable, healthcare is underfunded, and wages are not keeping up. At the same time, the climate emergency is worsening, with wildfires, floods, and extreme weather affecting communities across the country. We need urgent action on both fronts—a just transition to a green economy that lowers living costs, reduces emissions, and ensures economic security for all.
